Suzlon Sells 65 Megawatts of Wind Turbines for Uruguayan Project

Suzlon Energy Ltd. (SUEL), the world’s third biggest wind-turbine maker by sales, will provide 65 megawatts of power equipment for a project in Uruguay’s southwest region of Colonia.

The 31 turbines are expected to be installed by September 2014, Pune, India-based Suzlon said today on its website. It’s being developed by Rouar SA, a joint venture of Uruguay’s government power utility Administracion Nacional de Usinas & Trasmisiones Electricas and its Brazilian state-controlled counterpart Centrais Eletricas Brasileiras SA.
