Mitsui Fudosan Co. (8801), a Japanese property developer, will build a 6-megawatt solar power plant in Fukuoka prefecture in southern Japan.

The plant will become operational in the fiscal year ending in March 2015, the Tokyo-based company said in a statement today.

The Fukuoka plant will be the company’s fifth solar power station, according to Mitsui Fudosan. The five plants will have a combined capacity of about 68 megawatts, according to the statement.

Construction of a plant in Yamaguchi prefecture and another in Oita being built with Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding Co. (7003) will be completed in December, the company said.
