JinkoSolar to Supply 20 Megawatts of Panels to China State Grid

JinkoSolar Holding Co. (JKS), the Chinese solar manufacturer that posted its first profit in almost two years, will supply 20 megawatts of modules to China State Grid Corp. for a power project in Hebei Province.

The panels, a third of the total required for the 60-megawatt facility, will be delivered to the nation’s largest power distributor in the fourth quarter, Shanghai-based JinkoSolar said in a statement today. Terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.

JinkoSolar reported second-quarter net income of 49 million yuan ($8 million) on Aug. 14, its first profit since the third quarter of 2011. It was the only profitable Chinese manufacturer in the 15-member Bloomberg Industries Large Solar Index in the second quarter.
