NIGHT LIFE

Atoms for Peace hits Barclays Center on Friday on their U.S. “Amok” arena tour. Hear Radiohead front man Thom Yorke wail as Flea stomps across the stage during “Feeling Pulled Apart by Horses.” Take home a piece of the show with a laser-cut wooden “Lost Angeles Jigsaw” made from Stanley Donwood’s artwork. “Massive Attack V Adam Curtis” comes to the Park Avenue Armory on Saturday. In the collaborative work, Robert Del Naja and the award-winning documentary filmmaker riff on power and imagination over the last three decades. OUTDOORS

Head to the Great Lawn in Central Park on Saturday for this year’s Global Citizen Festival, with headliners Stevie Wonder, Kings of Lean, Alicia Keyes, John Mayer and Elvis Costello. It’s a benefit to fight world hunger. Gates open at 2 p.m. Tickets are free, but no entry without one. The event will be live-streamed and televised. Information: http://www.globalcitizen.org.

MUSIC

James Levine is back at the Metropolitan Opera -- on Saturday night conducting a lively “Cosi fan tutte” with a great young cast. FILM & TV

Tom Hanks gets menaced by Somali pirates in “Captain Phillips,” which opens the 51st edition of the New York Film Festival on Friday. Other movies include Ben Stiller’s remake of “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty” and the Coen brothers’ “Inside Llewyn Davis.” Runs through Oct. 13 at the Film Society. ART

Balthus was obsessed by nymphets, painting pensive and erotically charged portraits of them all his life. You’ve seen images of the eye, black pupil in a blue sky, and the pipe with “Ceci n’est pas une pipe” written below. STAGE

John Grisham’s first novel, “A Time to Kill,” about a man who seeks justice for a horrifying attack on his daughter, has been brought to the stage by Rupert Holmes.
