Los Angeles Dodgers Clinch National League West Division Title

The Los Angeles Dodgers became the first Major League Baseball team to clinch a postseason spot, wrapping up the National League West title with a 7-6 win today at the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Hanley Ramirez hit two home runs and drove in four runs as the Dodgers (88-65) rallied from a 6-3 deficit to win at Chase Field in Phoenix and capture their first division title since 2009.

The Dodgers, whose payroll of more than $216.5 million is the highest in the NL according to USA Today, have gone 58-23 since starting the season 30-42 and falling to last in the West.
