Berkshire’s Shaw Opens China Factory in Nantong, to Employ 250

Shaw Industries Group, the carpet maker owned by Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway Inc., opened a 210,000-square-foot (20,000-square-meter) plant in Nantong, China, to expand sales in the world’s most populous nation.

The plant is expected to employ 250 people at full capacity, the unit of Omaha, Nebraska-based Berkshire said today in a statement distributed by Business Wire.
