Areva Wind Turbines to Be Used in Baltic Sea, Windreich Says

Windreich GmbH, a German wind farm developer, signed a contract to use about 130 Areva SA 5-megawatt turbines in projects in the Baltic Sea.

Windreich will use the machines for the Baltic Eagle and Ostseeschatz projects awaiting approval from Germany’s Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency, the Wolfschlugen-based company said today in a statement on its website.
