Manila Water’s First-Half Profit Rises 11% to 2.91 Billion Pesos

Manila Water Co.’s net income increased 11 percent to 2.91 billion pesos ($67 million) from 2.63 billion pesos a year earlier, it said in filing with the Philippine Stock Exchange.

Six-month sales rose 6 percent to 7.63 billion pesos from 7.19 billion pesos, the utility said. Costs of services and operating expenses fell 2 percent to 2.1 billion pesos while its share in income of associates more than doubled to 119 million pesos, the filing show.
