Kenyon Martin Agrees to Re-Sign With Knicks, Daily News Reports

Free-agent forward Kenyon Martin has agreed to re-sign with the New York Knicks, according to the New York Daily News.

Martin, 35, who played 18 games for the Knicks last season after joining the club in February, will return to the National Basketball Association team on a one-year deal, the newspaper said, citing agent Andy Miller.

Miller declined to comment when reached by telephone. Jonathan Supranowitz, a spokesman for the Knicks, said in an e-mail that the team doesn’t confirm signings until a contract has been completed.

Martin averaged 7.2 points and 5.3 rebounds while playing almost 24 minutes per contest last season.

Martin has averaged 12.8 points and seven rebounds per game during his 13-year NBA career. He also has played four seasons for the New Jersey Nets, seven for the Denver Nuggets and one for the Los Angeles Clippers.
