RWE Wins Bid to Build World’s Biggest Offshore Wind Farm in U.K.

RWE AG (RWE) won approval from the U.K. government to spend 3.6 billion pounds building the world’s largest offshore wind farm off the nation’s east coast.

The Department of Energy & Climate Change also said construction will start on the Pen y Cymoedd Wind Farm in South Wales. That project led by Vattenfall AB involves 400 million pounds of investment. The department made a statement about the projects on its website.
