Spurs Beat Heat 114-104 to Take 3-2 Series Lead in NBA Finals

The San Antonio Spurs defeated the Miami Heat 114-104 to move within a victory of winning their fifth National Basketball Association championship.

Manu Ginobili had 24 points and 10 assists to lead the Spurs, who took a three-games-to-two lead in the best-of-seven NBA Finals. Tony Parker had 26 points and Danny Green added 24 points, including six three-pointers, for the Spurs at AT&T Center in San Antonio.

The series now shifts to Miami for Game 6 on June 18.

The defending NBA-champion Heat won Games 2 and 4 after falling behind 1-0 and 2-1 in the series and need another victory to force a decisive seventh game on June 20 in Miami. The Heat last lost back-to-back games on Jan. 8 and 10.

LeBron James and Dwyane Wade each scored 25 points for Miami.
