Brad Evans scored in the second minute of stoppage time to give the U.S. a 2-1 victory at Jamaica in a World Cup soccer qualifier.

Jozy Altidore scored in the 30th minute as the Americans took a 1-0 lead. Jermaine Beckford tied the game off a free kick in the 89th minute at Independence Park in Kingston, Jamaica.

The U.S. (2-1-1) improved to seven points in the 10-game final round of the North and Central American and Caribbean region. The Americans trail Costa Rica (2-1-1) on goal difference and are ahead of Mexico (1-0-4) on goals scored.
