Metro International Trade Services (U.K.) Ltd., asked to remove three warehouses approved by the London Metal Exchange in Johor, Malaysia, according to an LME notice to members today.
The warehouses are Metro’s last three at the location, according to a list of approved warehouses on the LME website dated May 23. Johor is the largest location for LME copper with 204,500 tons, out of a total of 608,450 tons. The company, owned by Goldman Sachs Group Inc., delisted two other warehouses at Johor, according to an LME notice on May 16.
Metro still has 10 warehouses in Port Klang, Malaysia, according to the list. Pacorini Metals, owned by Glencore Xstrata Plc, has 12 LME-approved storage facilities in Johor, the LME data show.
