David Porcelli joined BMO Capital Markets as co-head of U.S. equity products, leaving Barclays Capital, according to Vlaad and Co., a Toronto-based financial services recruiting firm.
Other moves at BMO Capital Markets noted in “Bill’s Buzz” weekly newsletter include: * Gregory Anderson was appointed global head of foreign exchange strategy with a G10 country focus from Citibank’s currency group. * Stephen Gallo was hired as head of European currency strategy in the U.K. from Credit Agricole. * Matthew Van Dyckhoff, formerly of Brown Brothers Harriman Ltd., was named director of currency sales. * Angela Wen joined the bank’s Shanghai office as head of foreign exchange sales China. * Charles Connor joined as a managing director, financial products, in Toronto from CIBC.
Other moves noted in the newsletter: * Geordie Mark is re-joining Haywood Securities Inc. in Vancouver at the end of May as co-head mining research from Passport Capital LLC. * Dan Barnholden was hired at National Bank Financial as managing director of mining investment banking from Cormark Securities Inc. * Caldwell Investment Management Ltd. added Christina Kish as an institutional salesperson, previously with Credit Suisse Private Banking in Zurich where she was a sales trader. * Callisto Capital LP added John Veitch as an associate from Scotiabank where he was an investment banking analyst. * Andrew Mitchell joined Toronto-based Ironbridge Equity Partners as an associate. He was previously with Ernst & Young Orenda as a mergers associate in the corporate finance group. * Yong Kwon joined Barclays as a director of diversified industries from RBC Capital Markets.
