Scotiabank’s Dynamic Funds Hires Zyblock as Chief Strategist

Dynamic Funds, a unit of Bank of Nova Scotia, hired Myles Zyblock for chief investment strategist as the fund manager reorganizes.

Zyblock, previously chief institutional strategist for Royal Bank of Canada (RY)’s investment-banking unit, takes over from Rohit Sehgal, Dynamic Funds said today in a statement. Sehgal is moving from mutual funds to managing alternative assets, the Toronto-based firm said.

Dynamic Funds also appointed Alexander Lane as co-portfolio manager for the Dynamic Power Canadian Growth Fund and Dynamic Power Balance Fund, the company said.

In September, fund manager Chuk Wong will assume lead portfolio management responsibilities for Dynamic Emerging Markets Class, which he has co-managed with Sehgal since inception, the firm said. Yassen Dimitrov takes over as lead portfolio manager for Dynamic Financial Services Fund, which he co-managed with Sehgal since July 2010.
