Romania Utility Water Plant Contract Goes to Four Firms

Apa Canal SA, a Romania utility, awarded a 41.4 million-lei ($12.5 million) contract for water infrastructure works in the eastern county of Galati.

The contract went to the Romanian companies Tancrad SRL and Escalia Craus SA, Biogest International GmbH of Germany and Bulgaria’s Glavbolgarstroy AD to build water-treatment plants in the towns of Liesti and Pechea, according to an April 27 notice on the European Union’s tender website.
