Japanese investors were net sellers of foreign bonds during the week ended April 19 according to figures based on reports from designated major investors released by the Ministry of Finance in Tokyo.
Japanese investors sold 862.6 billion yen ($8.7 billion) in overseas bonds and notes, sold 27.8 billion yen in overseas stocks and sold 45.2 billion yen in overseas short term securities. That results in a total net sale of 935.6 billion yen.
Foreign investors sold 199.3 billion yen in Japanese bonds, sold 27.9 billion yen in stocks, and sold 195.7 billion yen in short term securities, resulting in a total net sale 422.9 billion yen.
