U.K. Pound Extends Decline Versus Dollar After Fitch Downgrade

The pound extended a decline against the dollar after Fitch Ratings cut the U.K.’s credit grade one step to AA+ from AAA.

Sterling fell 0.3 percent to $1.5230 as of 5:08 p.m. London time. It weakened 0.4 percent to 85.75 pence per euro.
