Arsenal Targeting Former Chelsea Striker Kalou: Roundup

Kalou’s Comeback?

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger wants to sign former Chelsea striker Salomon Kalou this summer, the Sun reported.

The 27-year-old Ivory Coast and Lille striker said he would like to come back to England, the paper said.

“I’ve spent six seasons there and I am crazy about the Premier League,” the Sun quoted Kalou as saying. “Players’ careers change so quickly - you never know what will happen tomorrow.”

Krul for Milan

AC Milan may offer as much as 12 million pounds ($18 million) for Newcastle goalkeeper Tim Krul, the Daily Mirror reported.

The 25-year-old Holland national team player, who is out for the rest of the season with a shoulder injury, is under contract at Newcastle until 2017. The club does not want to sell him, the newspaper said.

Samba Exit?

Queens Park Rangers defender Chris Samba may leave the London club this summer to return to Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala, the Daily Star reported.

Samba, 29, joined QPR in January from Anzhi on a 4 1/2- year contract for 12.5 million pounds.

Santa Cruz Brazil-Bound?

Roque Santa Cruz, the Manchester City player who is on loan at Malaga, may move to Brazilian club Botafogo, the Daily Mail reported.

The 31-year-old scored seven goals for Malaga this season. He last played for City in 2010 and has since been on loan to Blackburn, Real Betis and now Malaga.
