Dodgers Get Catcher Hernandez From Rockies for Pitcher Harang

The Los Angeles Dodgers acquired catcher Ramon Hernandez from the Colorado Rockies for pitcher Aaron Harang, the Major League Baseball team said in a statement.

Hernandez, 36, batted .217 with five home runs and 28 runs batted in over 52 games for Colorado last season. He has a .264 average, 166 homers and 751 RBI over 14 major-league seasons with four teams.

Harang, a 34-year-old right-hander, was 10-10 with a 3.61 earned run average in 31 starts with the Dodgers in 2012. He’s 105-104 with a 4.19 ERA in 11 seasons with four teams.
