U.S. Budget, Bernanke, China, Masters: Week Ahead April 6-13

President Barack Obama presents his 2014 U.S. budget, then dines with Republican senators in an effort to reach a fiscal compromise. U.S. Federal Reserve Chairman Ben S. Bernanke gives the keynote address at the Atlanta Federal Reserve Bank’s Financial Markets Conference.

Chinese trade data are likely to show exports slowed and imports rebounded in March. President Xi Jinping gives the keynote speech at the three-day Boao Forum, which is modeled on the World Economic Forum in Davos.

Alcoa Inc., JPMorgan Chase & Co. (JPM) and Wells Fargo & Co. are among companies releasing results.

The U.S. NCAA college basketball tournament concludes and the Masters golf tournament begins.
