U.K. Stocks Drop For Fifth Day; FTSE 100 Declines 0.4%

U.K. stocks declined for a fifth day, the longest stretch of losses since May.

The benchmark FTSE 100 Index slid 0.6 percent to 6,393.94 at 8:33 a.m. in London after opening little changed. The gauge has lost 2.1 percent in the past five sessions.
