NBA’s New York Knicks Sign Kenyon Martin for Remainder of Season

The New York Knicks, who are missing injured front-court players Carmelo Anthony, Tyson Chandler and Amar’e Stoudemire, signed power forward Kenyon Martin for the rest of the regular season.

Martin, 35, has played in six games since signing the first of two 10-day contracts on Feb. 23, the Knicks said yesterday in an e-mailed release.

Martin is in his 13th National Basketball Association season.

The Knicks have lost the first three games of a five-game road trip that continues tomorrow at the Los Angeles Clippers.
