Brooklyn Nets Defeat Hornets for Fourth Win in Five NBA Games

Brook Lopez scored 26 points to lead the Brooklyn Nets to a 108-98 victory over the New Orleans Hornets.

A fourth win in five National Basketball Association games lifted the Nets to 38-27, two games behind the New York Knicks, who lead Eastern Conference’s five-team Atlantic Division with a 38-23 mark.

Deron Williams had 21 points and 13 assists, and reserve Andray Blatche added 18 points for the Nets, who had a 57-48 halftime lead on their home court at Barclays Center.

Eric Gordon scored 24 points and Anthony Davis had 17 points and 11 rebounds for the Hornets (22-43), who are last in the Western Conference’s Southwest Division, 27 games behind the San Antonio Spurs (49-15).
