Jeronimo Martins Finds No Traces of Horsemeat, Chairman Says

Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA, (JMT) Portugal’s biggest retailer, found no traces of horsemeat at its own-brand products available in stores in Portugal and Poland, Chairman Alexandre Soares dos Santos said.

“Until now, we’ve had no cases of the company’s brands being involved in this,” Soares dos Santos said at a press conference in Lisbon, adding that the company conducted about 400 tests on its products.
