Bernanke Says ‘We’re Not Engaged in a Currency War’

Federal Reserve Chairman Ben S. Bernanke said the central bank’s easing policies benefit U.S. trading partners by boosting global growth and denied that it is seeking to weaken the dollar.

“We are not engaged in a currency war,” Bernanke said today in response to a question during testimony to the Senate Banking Committee in Washington.
