ECUADOR NATIONAL COCOA ASSOCIATION REPORTS JANUARY EXPORT DATA

Cocoa exports from Ecuador, the world’s top grower of flavored beans used in fine chocolate, fell to 17,806 metric tons in January, a 6.2 percent decrease from last year, the National Cocoa Exporters Association said.

Shipments of whole beans decreased from 18,975 metric tons in January 2011, the association, known as Anecacao, said today in an e-mailed statement.
