Israeli Grain Buyer Said to Tender for Corn, Feed Wheat, Barley
Sherutei Bar Grains Import Ltd., an Israeli importer, is seeking 105,000 metric tons of corn, 45,000 tons of feed wheat and 25,000 tons of barley, according to two people with direct knowledge of the tender.
The company is seeking a 15,000-ton cargo and two 45,000- ton shipment of corn on behalf of its customers for delivery March 5 to June 10, depending on the origin, said the people who asked not to be identified because the tender hasn’t been publicly announced.
Sherutei also wants two cargoes of feed wheat, one for 10,000 tons and the other for 35,000 tons, and two cargoes of barley, one for 10,000 tons and the other 15,000 tons, they said. Delivery is March 5 to May 5, the people said.
The bids are due by Feb. 14 for grain from Europe, Black Sea region and South America, they said.
