Scotiabank Hires Schoen to Lead Latin America Debt Origination

Bank of Nova Scotia hired Michael Schoen as head of debt capital markets origination for Latin America after he worked for more than a decade in a similar role at Credit Suisse Group AG.

He will be based in New York and report to Paul Stamoulis and Greg Woynarski, co-heads of credit capital markets, said Joe Konecny, a spokesman, in an e-mail message. Schoen left Credit Suisse in November.

Schoen moved from JPMorgan Chase & Co. to Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette Inc. in 2000. The investment bank was acquired by Credit Suisse later that year.
