GE Appoints Flannery to Run Acquisitions Unit as Daley Retires
John Flannery, 51, will take the post overseeing GE’s mergers, acquisitions and disposals on April 1, the Fairfield, Connecticut-based manufacturer said today in a statement. Daley is leaving the company after 24 years, it said.
Daley has been head of business development since July 2004, and was in charge of transactions not related to GE’s financial divisions. She was chief strategist on GE’s exit from the insurance industry as well as its disposal of plastics operations and the NBC Universal entertainment business.
“On every deal, Pam provided clear and expert analysis, and her wide credibility served us well with external partners,” Chief Executive Officer Jeff Immelt said in the statement.
