Athi Seeks Bids for Kenya Dam Project, Water Treatment Facility

State-owned Athi Water is soliciting bids to design and build Karimenu II dam near Thika, 41 kilometers (22 miles) north of the capital Nairobi, as well as a water-treatment plant and transmission pipeline, according to a statement the water company published in Standard newspaper.

Tenders must be submitted by Feb. 28, Athi said. No other terms were given.
