MGIC CIO James Karpowicz To Retire, Pendergast Named Treasurer

MGIC Investment Corp., the mortgage insurer that breached regulators’ capital limits, said Chief Investment Officer and Treasurer James Karpowicz will retire on March 1.

Lisa Pendergast will be promoted to treasurer when Karpowicz leaves, the Milwaukee-based company said today in a statement distributed by PR Newswire. Karpowicz joined the insurer in 1986 as an assistant treasurer and has held his current position since 2005.
