Brazil to Start Option Contracts for Corn Purchases, Govt Says

Brazil will start option contracts to purchase corn from the producers in an attempt to replenish inventories of the grain, the country’s agriculture ministry said today.

An official authorization for the start of the contracts will be published as late as next month, according to an official statement from the ministry.
