Swiss Exports Decline in December, Federal Customs Office Says

Swiss exports fell in December, according to the Federal Customs Office.
Foreign sales, adjusted for inflation and seasonal swings, declined 1.5 percent from November, when they rose a revised 5.5 percent, the customs office in Bern said in an e-mailed statement today. Imports climbed 5.5 percent after advancing a revised 4.5 percent in the previous month.
The trade surplus shrunk to 1 billion Swiss francs from 2.9 billion francs in November.
