The work started this month and will take about 30 months to complete, the De Bilt, Netherlands-based company said today in a statement. The contract is valued at 5.5 million euros ($7.5 million).
The project is part of a European Union program to meet water management needs of about 3.5 million people, Grontmij said in the statement.
