Arise Acquires 130-Megawatt Norwegian Wind Project From Havgul

Arise Windpower AB (AWP), a Swedish developer of onshore wind energy, bought its first major wind farm in Norway, acquiring the project from Havgul clean energy AS.

Construction may start next year on the project, which will consist of 45 wind turbines with a total capacity of about 130 megawatts, Halmstead, Sweden-based Arise said today in a statement. Terms weren’t disclosed.
