Pound Slides, Drops to Lowest Level Versus Euro Since Feb. 29

The pound depreciated against the euro, sliding as much as 0.7 percent to 84.61 pence, the weakest level since Feb. 29. It traded at 84.53 pence as of 1:38 p.m. London time.

Sterling fell as much as 0.5 percent to $1.5760, the least since Aug. 28, before trading 0.4 percent weaker at $1.5780.
