Williams Leads Brooklyn Nets to 94-89 NBA Win Over Atlanta Hawks

Deron Williams scored 24 points to lead the Brooklyn Nets to a 94-89 victory over the Atlanta Hawks in a National Basketball Association contest.

The Nets (24-16) are second in the Eastern Conference’s five-team Atlantic Division, two games behind the New York Knicks. The Hawks (22-17) are second in the five-team Southeast Division, 4 1/2 games behind the Miami Heat.

The teams entered the fourth quarter tied 74-74. Williams made four free throws in the final 43 seconds to seal the victory for the Nets on their home court at Barclays Center.

Brook Lopez had 20 points and Joe Johnson 18 for the Nets, who won for the first time in seven games against Atlanta. Reggie Evans grabbed 20 rebounds.

Jeff Teague had 21 points and 10 assists, while Devin Harris added 17 points for the Hawks.
