Gamesa Extends Operation Contract for West Virginia Wind Farm

Gamesa Corp. Tecnologica SA, Spain’s largest turbine maker, received a 10-year contract to operate and maintain a 264-megawatt wind farm in West Virginia.
The agreement for the NedPower Mount Storm wind farm, co- owned by Royal Dutch Plc and Dominion Resources Inc., takes effect July 1 as Gamesa’s original five-year deal expires, according to a statement on the Zamudio, Spain-based company’s website today. The plant uses 132 Gamesa turbines.
