EU Carbon Permits Decline for Fourth Day to Near Record Low

European Union carbon allowances for December fell as much as 1.2 percent to 5.98 euros a metric ton, near last month’s record low of 5.93 euros.

The contract was 0.3 percent lower at 6.03 euros on the ICE Futures Europe exchange as of 7:45 a.m. in London. It has dropped 9.6 percent this year.
