Louisville Upsets Florida 33-23 in College Football’s Sugar Bowl

Teddy Bridgewater threw two touchdown passes as the University of Louisville upset the third-ranked University of Florida 33-23 in college football’s Sugar Bowl.

The No. 23 Cardinals (11-2) led 24-10 at halftime at the Superdome in New Orleans as Terell Floyd returned an interception 38 yards for a touchdown, Jeremy Wright scored with a 1-yard drive, John Wallace kicked a 27-yard field goal and Bridgewater tossed a 15-yard scoring pass to DeVante Parker.

Caleb Sturgis kicked a 33-yard field goal and Matt Jones ran for a 1-yard touchdown for the Gators in the first half.

Bridgewater found Damian Copeland with a 19-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter and Wallace capped the Cardinals’ scoring with a 30-yard field goal in the final quarter.

Trailing 33-10, the Gators (11-2) rallied in the last eight minutes as Andre Debose returned a kickoff 100 yards for a touchdown and Kent Taylor scored on a 5-yard reception from quarterback Jeff Driskel, who passed for 175 yards.
