Reichelt and Paris each finished the course in 1 minute, 58.62 seconds, 0.01 second ahead of Aksel Lund Svindal of Norway, this season’s overall leader. Klaus Kroell of Austria was fourth in 1:58.64.
“It’s crazy, four guys within two hundredths on one of the toughest downhills in the world,” Svindal said on the skiing federation website.
Slovakia’s Veronika Velez Zuzulova won the women’s slalom in Semmering, Austria, in a time of 1 minute, 37.28 seconds, 0.10 second faster than Kathrin Zettel of Austria. Tina Maze, who leads the women’s standings, was 0.10 second behind Zettel. Maria Hoefl-Riesch of Germany, who is second in the overall standings, was fourth in 1:38.39.
