Serbian Copper Miner Plans 30% Increase in Copper Output in 2013

RTB Bor, Serbia’s sole copper producer, plans to increase output by about 30 percent and post $7.27 million in net income next year.
The state-run company plans to produce 42,230 tons of copper cathodes as well as 917 kilograms of gold and 5.2 tons of silver next year, the company said in an e-mailed statement today. It gave no figures for this year’s gold and silver output or net income.
Bor also plans to invest $330 million next year, including a new smelter, it said.
