Ravens Beat Giants, Cowboys Lose to Leave Redskins Atop NFC East

The New York Giants and the Dallas Cowboys lost to leave the Washington Redskins alone atop the National Football Conference East division with one round of regular-season games remaining in the National Football League.

The Baltimore Ravens beat the Giants 33-14 to win the American Football Conference North division after the New Orleans Saints defeated Dallas 34-31 in overtime and Washington beat the Philadelphia Eagles 27-20.

The Redskins are 9-6 while the Giants and Cowboys are tied on 8-7 marks. New York hosts Philadelphia on Dec. 30, while Dallas visits Washington.

Also today, the Cincinnati Bengals defeated Pittsburgh 13-10 to eliminate the Steelers from postseason contention and reach the playoffs in consecutive years for the first time since 1981-82. The Ravens are 10-5 and the Bengals are 9-6 ahead of their meeting in Baltimore on Dec 30.

The Indianapolis Colts won 20-13 against the Kansas City Chiefs to reach the playoffs for the 10th time in 11 seasons, while the Minnesota Vikings stayed in the hunt for an NFC wild- card berth with a 23-6 road win against the Houston Texans.
