Brazil to Raise Minimum Wage 9% to 678 Reais, Folha Reports

Brazil’s minimum wage will increase to 678 reais ($326) per month in January, Folha de Sao Paulo reported, citing President Dilma Rousseff’s chief of staff Gleisi Hoffmann.

The new figure, which would be 9 percent above the current 622-reai minimum wage, will be published in the official gazette on Dec. 26, the publication reported Hoffmann as saying.
