The Washington Redskins beat the Philadelphia Eagles 27-20 to take the lead in the National Football Conference East division ahead of the New York Giants and the Dallas Cowboys, who lost 34-31 in overtime to the New Orleans Saints.
The Giants can join the Redskins at 9-6 with a road win over the Baltimore Ravens today. The Cowboys drop to 8-7 with the home loss to the Saints. New York hosts Philadelphia in its final game of the National Football League regular season on Dec. 30, while Dallas visits Washington.
