Ukraine plans to increase steel output by 3 percent next year, Interfax-Ukraine reported, citing Volodymyr Vlasyuk, the head of state researcher PromZovnishEkspertyza.
The country’s steelmakers will produce 33.7 million metric tons in 2013, compared with 32.7 million tons this year, the newswire cited Vlasyuk as saying. Steel exports will rise by 500,000 tons, while revenue from the shipments will decline, according to the report.
