Lakers Rally From 18-Point Deficit to Defeat Bobcats 101-100

Kobe Bryant scored two baskets to break a 97-97 tie as the Los Angeles Lakers rallied from an 18- point third-quarter deficit to defeat the Charlotte Bobcats 101-100.

Bryant scored a game-high 30 points and Jodie Meeks and Metta World Peace each added 17 for the Lakers, who improved to 12-14 after their National Basketball Association win last night at the Staples Center.

Pau Gasol, who returned to the court for the first time since Dec. 3 after recovering from knee tendinitis, had 10 points and nine rebounds in Los Angeles’ third straight win.

The Lakers trailed 58-53 at halftime and 84-77 after the third quarter before outscoring the Bobcats 24-16 in the final period.

Kemba Walker had 28 points and Ramon Sessions scored 20 for the Bobcats, who fell to 7-17 with their 12th straight loss.
