W.R. Berkley Says Storm Sandy to Cost as Much as $50 Million

W.R. Berkley Corp., the seller of property-casualty insurance, said that losses from superstorm Sandy will be as much as $50 million before tax.

Costs from the October storm that struck the U.S. Northeast will be at least $40 million, the Greenwich, Connecticut-based insurer said today in a statement distributed by Business Wire.
