European Next-Year Coal Advances for First Time in Eight Days

European coal for 2013 delivery advanced for the first time in eight days.

Thermal coal for delivery next year to Amsterdam, Rotterdam or Antwerp gained 0.8 percent to $95 a metric ton, according to broker data compiled by Bloomberg. The contract fell as low as $94.20 yesterday, its lowest in more than a month.
